Today, Sunday May 02, 2010, the NCHSA along with Race Promoter Richard Mull saw over 336 riders, racing the Brushy Mountain Harescramble, held in Taylorsville, NC.

The PRO class had ten riders going at it for six laps during the two hour morning Pro/A race. Lap one saw Chris Bach take control of the race, leading Bryan Henson by eight seconds. Sam Chalk Jr. came through in third place, two seconds ahead of fourth place rider Greg Reynolds. Trevor Connell rounded out the top five. Completion of lap two had Chris Bach on the gas hard, pulling away, and increasing the lead to twenty seven seconds over Bryan Henson. Greg Reynolds moved into third place, and lead forth place rider Sam Chalk Jr. by two seconds. Tj Snow moved into fifth place, and chased by twenty four seconds. Lap three had Chris Bach blistering the track, increasing the lead to thirty seven seconds over Bryan Henson. Greg Reynolds maintained third place, eleven seconds over hard charging Sam Chalk Jr.. Trevor Connell climbed into fifth place, and following by thirty six seconds. On lap four Chris Bach cranked it up, and increased the lead to one minute twelve seconds over Bryan Henson. Greg Reynolds held onto third place, twelve seconds over Sam Chalk Jr.. Tj Snow picked it up into fifth place, following by fifty seven seconds. Lap five ended with Chris Bach picking up the pace, increasing the lead to two minutes ten seconds over Bryan Henson. Sam Chalk Jr. slipped into third place, leading forth place racer Greg Reynolds by fifty one seconds. Tj Snow still solid in fifth place by three seconds. Six laps in and Chris Bach stayed strong, rode great, and pushed the lead to three minutes twenty seconds, messing with the mind of Bryan Henson. Sam Chalk Jr. must like third place, and still holds an advantage of twenty nine seconds over Greg Reynolds. Coming on strong Matthew Pressley just powered into fifth position. In the end it was a good race, yet there was only one leader. Chris Bach controlled the whole race and took the victory, followed by Bryan Henson, Sam Chalk Jr., Greg Reynolds, and Matthew Pressley.


The AA class had eight riders going at it for six laps during the two hour morning Pro/A race. Lap one saw Glenn Drum take control of the race, leading Ben Kloppel by seven seconds. John Jordan came through in third place, one minute eleven seconds ahead of fourth place rider Chris Gosselin. Mitchell Hall rounded out the top five. Completion of lap two had second place rider Ben Kloppel closing the gap on Glenn Drum to two seconds. John Jordan maintained third place one minute forty six seconds over Tyler Bruton. Mitchell Hall still chased in fifth place by eight seconds. Lap three had Glenn Drum blistering the track, increasing the lead to six seconds over Ben Kloppel. John Jordan maintained third place, one minute thirty seven seconds over hard charging Mitchell Hall. Chris Gosselin climbed into fifth place, and following by one minute thirteen seconds. On lap four Ben Kloppel grabbed the lead, and gapped twenty eight seconds over Glenn Drum. John Jordan held onto third place, one minute fifty six seconds over Mitchell Hall. Chris Gosselin managed to stay in fifth place by forty two seconds. Lap five ended with Ben Kloppel picking up the pace, increasing the lead to fifty nine seconds over John Jordan. Mitchell Hall slipped into third place, leading forth place racer Glenn Drum by five seconds. Chris Gosselin still solid in fifth place by one minute fifty five seconds. Six laps in and second place rider John Jordan is staying strong, riding great, and flat out catching race leader Ben Kloppel, who now holds a gap of twenty five seconds. Mitchell Hall must like third place, and still holds an advantage of three minutes thirty eight seconds over Glenn Drum. Chris Gosselin continues to block the entrance door to fifth place. In the end it was a great race with two different leaders, but it was Ben Kloppel taking the win, proving to be a just a little stronger, than John Jordan, Mitchell Hall, Glenn Drum, and Chris Gosselin.


The 250-A class had nine riders going at it for six laps during the two hour morning Pro/A race. Lap one saw Bobby Dedmon take control of the race, leading Steve Henson by thirty four seconds. Dylan Bean came through in third place, twenty seconds ahead of fourth place rider Dustin Gross. Trevor Marks rounded out the top five. Completion of lap two had Bobby Dedmon on the gas hard, pulling away, and increasing the lead to forty seconds over Steve Henson. Dylan Bean maintained third place one minute twenty seven seconds over Dustin Gross. Caleb Young moved into fifth place, and chased by forty one seconds. On lap three Steve Henson took over the lead, and pulled two seconds over Bobby Dedmon. Dylan Bean maintained third place, three minutes thirty nine seconds over hard charging Caleb Young. Adam Warner climbed into fifth place, and following by one minute. On lap four Bobby Dedmon grabbed the lead, and gapped twenty eight seconds over Steve Henson. Dylan Bean held onto third place, five minutes four seconds over Trevor Marks. Dustin Gross picked it up into fifth place, following by two seconds. Lap five ended with second place rider Steve Henson picking up the pace, closing in on Bobby Dedmon reducing the time difference to sixteen seconds. Dylan Bean held onto third place five minutes twenty five seconds over Caleb Young. Dustin Gross still solid in fifth place by forty two seconds. Six laps in and Bobby Dedmon stayed strong, rode great, and pushed the lead to eighteen seconds, messing with the mind of Steve Henson. Dylan Bean must like third place, and still holds an advantage of five minutes forty two seconds over Caleb Young. Dustin Gross continues to block the entrance door to fifth place. In the end it was a great race with two different leaders, but it was Bobby Dedmon taking the win, proving to be a just a little stronger, than Steve Henson, Dylan Bean, Caleb Young, and Dustin Gross.


The OPEN-A class had five riders going at it for five laps during the two hour morning Pro/A race. Lap one saw Shannon Willis take control of the race, leading Jamie Dineen by three seconds. John Giles came through in third place, one minute thirty seconds ahead of fourth place rider Derick Lester. Andrew Taylor rounded out the top five. Completion of lap two had Shannon Willis on the gas hard, pulling away, and increasing the lead to twenty nine seconds over Jamie Dineen. John Giles maintained third place one minute twenty two seconds over Derick Lester. Andrew Taylor still chased in fifth place by one minute four seconds. Lap three had Shannon Willis blistering the track, increasing the lead to one minute thirty eight seconds over Jamie Dineen. John Giles maintained third place, one minute thirty two seconds over hard charging Derick Lester. Andrew Taylor stayed put in fifth place by one minute two seconds. On lap four Shannon Willis cranked it up, and increased the lead to two minutes thirty five seconds over Jamie Dineen. Derick Lester turned up the throttle, and landed into third place, leading forth place racer John Giles by one minute two seconds. Andrew Taylor managed to stay in fifth place by four seconds. Lap five ended with Shannon Willis picking up the pace, increasing the lead to three minutes thirty nine seconds over Jamie Dineen. Derick Lester held onto third place eleven seconds over John Giles. Andrew Taylor still solid in fifth place by four minutes fifty six seconds. In the end it was a good race, yet there was only one leader. Shannon Willis controlled the whole race and took the victory, followed by Jamie Dineen, Derick Lester, John Giles, and Andrew Taylor.


The VET-A class had six riders going at it for six laps during the two hour morning Pro/A race. Lap one saw Ronnie Yarbro take control of the race, leading Marc Hilton by two seconds. Will Benton came through in third place, forty three seconds ahead of fourth place rider Travis Walker. Kevin Pearson rounded out the top five. Somewhere during lap two Marc Hilton took over the lead, and pulled two seconds over Ronnie Yarbro. Will Benton maintained third place fifty one seconds over Travis Walker. Kevin Pearson still chased in fifth place by twenty eight seconds. Lap three had Marc Hilton blistering the track, increasing the lead to fourteen seconds over Will Benton. Travis Walker rocketed into third place, keeping forth place rider Kevin Pearson at bay by three seconds. Brandon Eller climbed into fifth place, and following by nine seconds. On lap four, second place rider Will Benton began reeling in Marc Hilton, closing to two seconds. Kevin Pearson turned up the throttle, and landed into third place, leading forth place racer Brandon Eller by twelve seconds. Travis Walker feel off the pace to fifth place by thirteen seconds. Lap five ended with Marc Hilton picking up the pace, increasing the lead to one minute twenty seven seconds over Will Benton. Brandon Eller slipped into third place, leading forth place racer Kevin Pearson by seven seconds. Travis Walker still solid in fifth place by one minute twenty five seconds. During lap six Marc Hilton stayed strong, rode great, and kept the lead. In the end it was a great race with two different leaders, but it was Marc Hilton taking the win, proving to be a just a little stronger, than Will Benton, Brandon Eller, Kevin Pearson, and Travis Walker.


The SEN-A class had eleven riders going at it for five laps during the two hour morning Pro/A race. Lap one saw Mike Hampton take control of the race, leading Mitchell Hampton by sixteen seconds. Mark Gaither came through in third place, three seconds ahead of fourth place rider Ricky Loflin. Mike Kowalsky rounded out the top five. Completion of lap two had Mike Hampton on the gas hard, pulling away, and increasing the lead to forty four seconds over Mark Gaither. Mike Kowalsky moved into third place, and lead forth place rider Mitchell Hampton by one minute thirteen seconds. David Sheehan moved into fifth place, and chased by two seconds. Lap three had Mike Hampton blistering the track, increasing the lead to forty six seconds over Mark Gaither. Mike Kowalsky maintained third place, one minute seventeen seconds over hard charging Mitchell Hampton. David Sheehan stayed put in fifth place by thirty two seconds. On lap four Mike Hampton cranked it up, and increased the lead to fifty eight seconds over Mark Gaither. Mike Kowalsky held onto third place, forty seven seconds over Mitchell Hampton. Robert Duggan picked it up into fifth place, following by fifty eight seconds. Lap five ended with second place rider Mark Gaither picking up the pace, closing in on Mike Hampton reducing the time difference to fifty three seconds. Mitchell Hampton slipped into third place, leading forth place racer Mike Kowalsky by four seconds. Robert Duggan still solid in fifth place by two minutes eight seconds. In the end it was a good race, yet there was only one leader. Mike Hampton controlled the whole race and took the victory, followed by Mark Gaither, Mitchell Hampton, Mike Kowalsky, and Robert Duggan.


The MASTERS-A class had nine riders going at it for five laps during the two hour morning Pro/A race. Lap one saw Mark Wooters take control of the race, leading Duane Cornett by three seconds. Joel Burgess came through in third place, five seconds ahead of fourth place rider Tony Condrey. Tracy Fuller rounded out the top five. Completion of lap two had Mark Wooters on the gas hard, pulling away, and increasing the lead to one minute six seconds over Duane Cornett. Tracy Fuller moved into third place, and lead forth place rider Ken Kennedy by fifty three seconds. Joel Burgess fell back, but still chased in fifth place by fifteen seconds. Lap three had Mark Wooters blistering the track, increasing the lead to two minutes twenty seconds over Duane Cornett.
