Racers, Online Signup is now for real, and turned on. You can now signup for this years Membership, secure your race number, and of course signup for upcoming races. This is huge, and I encourage all of you to use this system to avoid slow moving lines. If you signup online you can simply go through the express lane at the race, and just be checked off the list, pickup your punch card, barcodes, etc… The line should move rapidly, and not bottleneck, making your signup process a breeze.
How To Signup Online.
Ok, first you must be a member of the NCHSA to take advantage of Online Signup. If you joined the NCHSA at the banquet, or if you mailed your application in, then you are on the list, and good to go.
If you are not a member, then you can join the NCHSA right now online. Simply click on ‘Signup For This Race’ located on the Home Page Schedule, or anywhere else in this website that links you to the Online Signup page.
Once on the Online Signup Page, notice that the page is divided into two sectons. The upper section is ‘Online Membership & Number Assignment’, and the lower section is ‘Online Race Day Signup’.
‘Online Membership & Number Assignment’
To become a member, please click on the button called ‘Become A NCHSA Member ->’. You are now presented with a page that allows you to fill out your membership form, select the class you plan to ride, and the number you hope to use. After all is filled out click the button ‘Continue To Payment Center ->’. Our system will verify that you filled out everything properly, and it will make sure the number you have selected is available. If anything is left out, or your number is already taken, then you will be prompted to fix any problems before continuing.
Now that you have filled everything out, and it has been verified, our system will present you with the ‘Payment Screen’. Here you will fill out all of the required payment information. The name & address information is for whoever’s credit card is being used. This card older might be a different person than the person who is signing up. An example would be you are signing up your kid, and using your card to pay for it. Make double sure you enter the name & address of the card holder on the payment screen.
Next select Mastercard, or Visa, enter the card number, expiration date, and the CVN code. The CVN code is the 3 digit security located on the back of the card. This code ensures that your card number has not been stolen or misused. Our system is fully secure and safe to use. To complete your membership signup simply click the ‘Process Order’ button. Our system will attempt to bill your credit card, and if it approves you will be shown a confirmation screen you can print.
*** Warning: At this point please do not use your browser’s ‘BACK’ button to back up through the payment screen as you card could possibly be billed multiple times.
Should your card decline, you can enter a new card, and try again. If you need to come back later, then simple click the link that says ‘Cancel This Signup’. When you return you will need to start the process all over again.
‘Online Race Day Signup’
To signup for an upcoming race could not be any easier. Simply click on ‘Signup For This Race’ located on the Home Page Schedule, or anywhere else in this website that links you to the Online Signup page.
Here you will find the ‘Online Race Day Signup’ section on the bottom half of the screen. First you must select from the drop down list which NCHSA Member you wish to signup. Next select which race you are signing up for. Click the button called ‘Signup Online For This Race’.
Next, our system will present you with the ‘Payment Screen’. Here you will fill out all of the required payment information. The name & address information is for whoever’s credit card is being used.
